In Daniel Mason’s 2023 novel North Woods, we follow the story of one home and its inhabitants – human and otherwise - in the New England wilderness over the course of centuries. Journey into this sweeping story at the DeFries Homestead, which itself has stood for generations and served as a home to many. If we’re lucky, we’ll even get to sample a famous Osgood Wonder apple.
