Baintertown Shelter

Open-air shelter located in the Baintertown Park. Picnic tables and charcoal grills are provided with shelter. Site contains open area for recreation, accessible parking, accessible latrine, drinking fountain, picnic sites, fishing and small boat access. Close to the Baintertown Wetland Area which includes a pond and managed wetland. Hiking trails lead along historic canal, through woods and meadows to Baintertown Hydro Plant and Baintertown Dam.

RENTAL TERMS.

EARLY OPENING / LATE DEPARTURE.
Check-in time is 9:00 am. Check-out time is one hour before posted park closing time (changes seasonally). Any facility use beyond these times must be arranged 30 days in advance of the rental and requires an additional fee of $50 per hour. There is a maximum of two (2) hours early opening or late closing.

MINIMUM AGE.
Renters must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must be present at the rented facility throughout the duration of the rental.

CANCELLATION / REFUND.
Facility reservation fees (and security deposit if applicable) will be refunded minus a $15.00 service charge fee if the cancellation occurs more than twenty-one (21) days prior to the reservation date. As an option, a one-time transfer to another specific date at the time of your cancellation may occur within the same calendar year if it occurs more than twenty-one (21) days prior to the original reservation date (minus the $15.00 service charge).

Facility reservation fees will not be refunded or transferred if cancellation occurs less than twenty-one (21) days prior to the reservation date.

PROHIBITED
Balloons, egg tosses, confetti, candles, moon walks/bouncy houses and dunk tanks
Alcoholic beverages
Live animal exhibits, petting zoos and pony rides
Smoking in park buildings
Behaviors that are disorderly, rude, loud or otherwise dangerous or disruptive to other park guests
Swimming
Inflicting injury to wildlife
Defacement, destruction, remove or disturbance of property, equipment or natural features
Littering or dumping trash outside of provided receptacles

PERMITTED UNDER SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
Tents, canopies and other pop-up shelters are permitted only under certain conditions and must be preapproved at the time of rental. Please ask for our policy if you wish to erect a shelter

Fires are restricted to designated containers. Ground fires are prohibited

Pets must be restrained at all times on a leash no longer than six (6') ft in length. Pets are not permitted in buildings. Owners must clean up after their pets.
